Amsterdam Schiphol Airport reduces emissions by 90% using e-GPU

With the pandemic affecting the airline industry in considerable ways, it is crucial now more than ever for the industry to adapt to changes. The industry also has to keep up with the demands of other green airport projects to maintain sustainability as an integral part of its adaptation. 

Singapore Changi Airport efficiently integrated sustainable solutions to accommodate this adaption. The Airport now has 80 electric baggage tractors operating on the airside, which has already saved 627 tons of CO2 emissions.

Apart from making sustainable decisions, the airport also transformed digitally to aid efficient operations. By installing 26 common-use charging points the facility encouraged the adoption of electric baggage tractors.Changi already has a fully electric fleet in one terminal and aims to convert the majority of diesel-powered GSE to electric powered by 2030.
